Currency Settings

Bharat Studio supports 35 currencies and defaults to Indian Rupee (INR ₹). The selected currency is used everywhere — product prices, POS totals, invoices, brand portal, and exports. Changing currency updates the symbol instantly but does not convert existing price values.

stepByStep

1

Open Currency Settings

Go to Settings (⚙) → Account → Company. Scroll to the Currency field near the top of the Company Information form.

2

Select a new currency

Tap the currency dropdown. Currencies are listed with their code and symbol (e.g. USD — $, AED — د.إ). Type to search by name or code. Tap your currency to select it.

3

Save the change

Tap "Save Changes". The new currency symbol appears immediately on product cards, POS totals, and invoices.

4

Update product prices

Currency change does NOT auto-convert prices. Open each product (or use Bulk CSV Import) to update the numeric price values to match the new currency. This is a one-time step after a currency change.

5

Verify POS totals

Open POS Sales and add a product to the cart. Confirm the total shows the new currency symbol and the price is correct before processing orders.

proTips

Set INR as your default currency if all your sales are in India — this is the default and covers 95% of Indian shopkeepers.
If you export to the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia), create a separate workspace with AED or SAR currency for those products.
Use the bulk CSV update after a currency change to update hundreds of product prices at once without editing each product individually.
The currency symbol also appears on your brand portal for international customers — switching to USD or EUR gives your portal a professional look for overseas buyers.
Invoices always show the currency code (e.g. INR, USD) in addition to the symbol for clarity.
