POS Analytics

POS Analytics gives you a clear picture of how your shop is performing. Select a time period to see total sales, total orders, and average order value. Discover your best-selling products and understand which payment methods your customers prefer most.

stepByStep

1

Open POS Analytics

Go to POS → Analytics. The page loads with the current month's data by default.

2

Select a time period

Use the period selector at the top of the page. Choose from Today, Yesterday, This Week, This Month, Last Month, or a Custom date range. All charts and summary cards update instantly to reflect the selected period.

3

Read the summary cards

Three summary cards appear at the top: Total Sales (total revenue in ₹ for the period), Total Orders (count of completed orders), and Average Order Value (Total Sales ÷ Total Orders). These update whenever you change the period.

4

Check top products

Scroll to the "Top Products" section. This ranked list shows which products sold the most units and generated the most revenue in the selected period. Use this to decide what to restock and what to promote.

5

Review payment method breakdown

The "Payment Methods" chart (pie or bar) shows what percentage of orders were paid by Cash, Card, UPI, or Other. This tells you which payment modes are most popular with your customers.

6

Compare periods

Switch between time periods to compare — for example, select "This Month" and note the total, then select "Last Month" to compare. There is no automatic comparison view; simply toggle between periods to spot trends.

proTips

Check "Top Products" weekly — if a product is consistently in the top 3, consider stocking more of it before your next busy period.
If a large share of payments is "Cash", consider promoting UPI at checkout for faster settlements and a digital paper trail.
Average Order Value going down month-over-month may indicate customers are making smaller purchases — consider bundle offers.
Use the custom date range to match your GST return period (e.g. 1 April – 31 March for annual returns).
Analytics data is based on Completed orders only — pending and cancelled orders are excluded from all totals.
