Connected Accounts & API Keys

Connected Accounts is the central place to manage external integrations. Add your own AI provider API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Grok) so AI enrichments use your own subscription instead of Bharat Studio plan credits. You can also connect Google Drive for cloud file import and Dropbox for photo batch uploads.

stepByStep

1

Open Connected Accounts

Go to Settings (⚙) in the sidebar → Connected Accounts. The page is divided into two sections: "AI Provider Keys" at the top and "Cloud Storage" below.

2

Add your OpenAI API key

1. Go to platform.openai.com → sign in → click your profile → "API keys". 2. Click "Create new secret key" and give it a name (e.g. "Bharat Studio"). 3. Copy the key immediately — it is shown only once. 4. Back in Bharat Studio, paste it in the OpenAI field and tap Save. A green check confirms the key is accepted.

6

Remove or update an API key

To update a key, paste the new value over the existing one and tap Save. To remove a key, tap the X (delete) icon next to the key slot and confirm. Once removed, AI features fall back to Bharat Studio plan credits for that provider.

Connect Google Drive

In the Cloud Storage section, tap "Connect Google Drive". A Google sign-in popup opens — sign in with the Google account that owns the Drive files you want to import. Grant the requested permissions. Once connected, the Drive import option appears in the Bulk Import screen's file picker.

proTips

Add the OpenAI key first — it powers product title/description generation, category detection, attribute extraction, stock intake vision, and image generation. It covers the most features.
API keys are stored securely server-side in the saas_channel_installations table — they are never stored in your browser or transmitted insecurely.
Create a separate OpenAI key with a monthly spending limit set in the OpenAI dashboard so you can control AI costs independently of Bharat Studio billing.
The Anthropic (Claude) key enables longer-form listing copy generation and is a good complement to the OpenAI key for high-volume enrichment.
Google Drive and Dropbox connections expire after 1 hour. The app re-prompts you to re-authorize when the session expires.
On the Free plan, entering a BYOK key effectively gives you unlimited enrichments at your own API cost, bypassing monthly plan credit limits.
