WhatsApp Integration

Bharat Studio connects directly with WhatsApp for three key workflows: sending UPI payment QR codes to customers who are not in-store, delivering invoices after checkout, and sharing product information as click-to-chat links. No WhatsApp Business API account is required — it works through the standard WhatsApp Share feature on your phone.

stepByStep

1

Send a payment QR code via WhatsApp

During POS checkout, select "UPI" as the payment method. Tap "Share QR via WhatsApp". WhatsApp opens with the QR image pre-attached and a message showing the payable amount. Select the customer's contact and tap Send.

2

Send an invoice after checkout

After completing a POS order, tap "Send Invoice on WhatsApp". The app opens WhatsApp with the invoice pre-formatted as a text message — listing items, quantities, prices, discounts, taxes, and total. Select the customer and send.

3

Copy invoice as text

If the customer prefers SMS, email, or another app, tap "Copy Invoice" instead. The full invoice text is copied to your clipboard. Paste it anywhere.

4

Share a product via WhatsApp

In your product catalog, open any product and tap the Share icon. Tap "Share via WhatsApp". WhatsApp opens with a pre-written message including the product name, price, and a link to the product on your Brand Portal (if published).

5

Use click-to-chat links

In Brand Portal and product pages, your WhatsApp number appears as a click-to-chat link (wa.me link). When customers tap this link on your portal, WhatsApp opens with a pre-filled message "Hi, I am interested in [product name]" so you never miss a lead.

6

Resend a past invoice

Go to POS → Orders, open any completed order, and tap "Send Invoice on WhatsApp". This resends the same invoice to the customer's saved WhatsApp number. Useful when a customer loses the original message.

proTips

Always save the customer's WhatsApp number (not just their mobile number) when creating their profile — some customers use a different number for WhatsApp.
For walk-in customers whose number you do not have saved, use "Copy Invoice" and read the total aloud — then they can ask you to send it later.
The invoice sent via WhatsApp includes your shop name, address, and GSTIN — make sure these are filled in Settings → Company before your first sale.
Product share links are more effective when the product has a clear title and at least one good image — AI enrichment helps here.
Click-to-chat links in your Brand Portal work even if you do not have a WhatsApp Business account — regular WhatsApp works.
